Military Bio:

James J. Dickerson of Zebulan, GA. was only 25 when he was captured in AVW, Germany on 12-19-44 during WWII. James served in the Army in the 106th Division before being captured and held for 105 days in Germany. After returning home James worked as a Civil Service Officer for the U.S.A.F. and retired from the Air Force after 21 years with is wife Nellie. Through his years in the service James received many military medals including the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart (twice), the Good Conduct Medal (3 times), and many more.
