Military Bio:

Norman was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He lived in Florence, Wisconsin until after he was out of the service. He then lived in Ridgeland, Wisconsin until his death. I do not know much of his POW experience as he would never discuss it with myself or my brother. All I ever remember was my grandpa and grandma (his parents) and my uncle (his brother) said he was not the same person after he came home from the service. I have only learned from reading his Army papers that he was in Stalag 16 and a camp, with a number of 006. My father was a very quiet and reserved person and afraid to speak out. From what I gather from my uncle he was never like that before he was in service. I'm sorry that I do not have anymore information on his POW experience. He passed away from cancer. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice, one son Donald, one daughter, Diane, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

My Message to Future Generations: My message as a daughter of a POW to the future generations is don't be afraid to ask questions and thank the POW's for your life in the USA.
