Military Bio:

Charles Yandell was a navigator for the 390 Bomb Group 570th Squadron. On a Mission to Duseldorf, Germany his plane was shot down and 4 of the crew members died with 5 men surviving. Charles spent the next 9 months as a POW in Luft 1. His fellow crew members were Robert Gallager, Murle Rodda, Leonard Gilky, Ed Duseck,Joe costa, Edward Marshall, Ballard,and Hayes. Charles is a former member of the METROLINA EX-POW chapter.
